Planning a wedding can be stressful. (I know I have been there myself). In order to make sure that you are booking the right person to cover the most important day of your life it is crucial to ask some key questions. These may be about the way photographers work or about how they look after and store your precious wedding memories or more about the logistics of how the day could run, timings, arrangements, venue checks or insurances.

These are some of the questions that are often asked during meetings.

q: What is your style?

a: My style is a friendly and relaxed mix between reportage and creative natural portraiture. I am unobtrusive and observant and blend in capturing the special elements and emotions of the day.

q: Will we have time for some family photographs and when is the best time to do these?

a: You may wish to have some family portraits taken and these can be done as a fun and relaxed little session before you sit for the wedding breakfast.

q:   Do you have insurance?

a:   Yes I have full public liability and negligence insurance.

q:   How long does it take to see the online gallery and to receive the USB’S

a:   This can vary slightly depending on the season and my work diary I normally ask for three to four weeks in order to have the time needed to edit and prepare all the images to be presented.

q: How long do you stay for?

a:  I can stay for as long as you like depending on the option selected. Normally I start at the preparations and finish at the first dance but if you have an active guest list and fireworks I am more than happy to stay to the end of the night.

q:  Where do you cover?

a:  The main areas are Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, London, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and Hertfordshire but I am also available for weddings on the south coast or further afield if required.

q:  What happens if your camera fails or gets damaged on the day?

a:  I have two identical latest generation camera bodies and back up lenses and flash. if I was unfortunate to have an accident with one system I have an exact replacement to continue with.

q: Do you back up the images?

a:  I always back up on the day onto a laptop computer and a pocket hard drive. I never erase cards during the day and return back to base with three copies of all the images. These are then backed up onto two identical external hard drives.

q:  Do we visit the venues together before the wedding?

a:  Around six weeks before I suggest we meet up and visit the venues together. This is a good time to go through all the final details. The engagement portrait session can also be taken at this time allowing time for you to receive the images and turn any images into a signing frame or photo guest signing book.

If you have any other questions about either my style of work or anything else that I have not answered above please let me know. I am more than happy to discuss any questions you have and look forward to being of help.
